My name is Amber, I am the owner, photographer, marketing exec, website guru, editing queen, kid whisperer, and heart of Modern Color Photography. I have 8 years of experience and specialize in portrait, branding, maternity, family, and lifestyle photography. I think its so important to get to know the person behind the lens and put a face with who will be capturing your special moments and most treasured memories.

I live in Columbia, South Carolina with my wife and our handsome son. They inspire me in my work every day.

I have been interested in photography since I was young. After my son was born, I concentrated on photography because I wanted to capture every single second, learning how to master light, composition, editing and the art of capturing life. My style is capturing a more candid photo to give a more natural appeal to the creative outcome of your session. I get the gift of capturing your most precious moments to look back on years to come!

My Vision
Ultimately, a well captured image represents a moment in time that is expressed infinitely. Picking up a camera gives me a reason to share my vision of the world with others… I've made it my life’s goal to be as creative as possible towards everything I endeavor.
The quote “a picture is worth 1000 words” is my motto because creative innovation and visual voodoo- no matter the medium- make my heart go thump thump… plus being able to share those images with the world is a great experience. Any endeavor that shares my professional growth with photography makes my soul sing.
